This month marks my one year fit-aversary. What?! Who am I... committing to a workout for an entire year?! Pre-StudiOne, I was a chronic studio jumper - always trying new things, never going to one place longer than a month. Then I stumbled upon this little place called StudiOne and I couldn’t be happier I did.
What made you want to join fit camp?
I met Amanda and Ashley! They were in their workout clothes and looked AMAZING - so toned and fit. I asked where they work out. They raved about StudiOne. At that point, I was looking for something I could commit to -- make a lifestyle out of. I knew I was starting to get puffy - you know, when you have that little marshmallow layer appear around your body. So, when I heard them talk about the community and support at StudiOne, I knew it was just what I needed to help me commit to my health and fitness!
What is your favorite thing about the program?
I love the crowd. Seriously, the people, ya’ll - so encouraging and fun to be around. As for the workouts, I love how quick they are. They are challenging and never, ever make me bored. I get to fill my need to try new things without having to hop to a new studio every month.
What results have you loved the most?
I love looking more toned and am getting definition in my arms and legs. I don’t really keep up with the scales, which is a mindset shift that Jessica coached me through after my first FitCamp. It’s been totally freeing to care more about my body itself, focusing on that change vs a number change.
How has it affected your running?
Running… ahh that thing I love to hate. I started running in January (against my better judgement, I even called the workouts Death by Running) under the One Pass. I have never been a strong runner or associated running with positive thoughts. But, over the last 6 months, that has changed. Since I had already done 2 rounds of FitCamp when I started running, I felt much stronger and more prepared to jump in. It made it suck a little less! Now, both are so connected for me. They go hand-in-hand, and I'm glad I have the option of access to both, under One membership.
What is your main motivation for staying fit?
I can’t believe I have been doing this for a year. Why would I quit now! I set out to find something I could do for the long haul and I found it. StudiOne has helped me integrate health and fitness into my lifestyle so that I can look and feel my best. When I am fit, I have more energy and more structure in my life. That’s what keeps me motivated.
How do you spend your free time?
Traveling, hangin’ with my hubs and our pups or out with friends...
Fave place you’ve visited?
This one is so hard! Lately it would be Ireland - my motherland. There is this little peninsula on the southeastern coast called Dingle. It feels like the edge of the Earth. The people are so kind and welcoming. It’s beautiful. Wonderful food, a quaint port, great pubs. Life is just a little simpler there.
